Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of QRoute's dynamic QR routing infrastructure, web application, APIs, and custom domain services.

Last Updated: August 20, 2026Effective Date: August 20, 2026Version: 3.1

Printed Code Continuity

We understand that ink on paper lives forever. If you downgrade your subscription, your existing distributed dynamic QR codes will continue to resolve.

Zero Quishing & Phishing

We enforce zero tolerance for malware, deceptive redirects, and phishing. Violators are terminated immediately to protect our global IP routing reputation.

100% Data & Brand Ownership

You retain full intellectual property ownership of all custom domains, logos, campaign assets, and destination URLs you create on the platform.

99.95% Redirect Uptime SLA

Our decoupled redirect architecture ensures physical QR code scans resolve in under 150ms regardless of scheduled dashboard maintenance.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By creating an account on QRoute (the “Service”), accessing our APIs, or utilizing our custom domain routing services, you (“Customer”, “You”, or “Organization”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our accompanying Privacy Policy and Security Policies.

If you are registering an account on behalf of a company, educational institution, publisher, or legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to create an account.

2. Account Registration & Security Responsibilities

  • Accurate Registration: You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information during registration and keep your contact details updated.
  • Credential Confidentiality: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, multi-factor authentication tokens, and API secret keys.
  • Organization Role Management: You are responsible for all actions taken by authorized team members, editors, and administrators assigned to your workspace.
  • Immediate Notification: You must immediately notify QRoute support at support@qroute.in if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) & Quishing Prohibition

QRoute is built for legitimate enterprise marketing, educational publishing, retail, and commercial communication. To protect our global network reputation and end scanners, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

Prohibited Content & Routing Activities:

  • Phishing & Quishing: Pointing QR codes to deceptive sites designed to steal user credentials, banking details, or sensitive personal data.
  • Malware & Exploit Delivery: Routing to malicious executables, spyware, ransomware, or browser exploits.
  • Unlawful & Harmful Material: Distributing content that promotes illegal goods, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual imagery, hate speech, or terror activities.
  • Protocol Tampering: Attempting to embed javascript:, data:, local RFC-1918 addresses, or unauthorized protocols into dynamic slugs.
  • System Attacks: Attempting to bypass tenant isolation boundaries, reverse engineer the platform, or execute volumetric denial-of-service (DDoS) floods against our edge nodes.

Violation of our Acceptable Use Policy will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, deactivation of dynamic routing slugs, and possible referral to law enforcement authorities.

4. Subscription Plans, Billing & Printed Code Continuity

Our Printed Code Continuity Guarantee

We understand that physical media (textbooks, product packaging, table tents, billboards) cannot be recalled if a software subscription changes. If you downgrade or cancel your paid plan, your previously distributed, printed dynamic QR codes will continue to resolve to their current target destinations. A downgrade only limits your ability to create new codes, attach additional custom domains, or view historical analytics.

4.1 Fees & Billing Cycles

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via credit card, UPI, or corporate invoice. By subscribing, you authorize our PCI-compliant payment processor to charge your payment method on each renewal date until cancellation.

4.2 Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day no-questions-asked refund guarantee on all new monthly and annual plan subscriptions. If you are unsatisfied within the first 14 days of your initial purchase, contact support for a full refund.

5. Custom Domains & DNS Management

  • Domain Ownership: You represent that you have legal authorization to configure DNS records for any custom domain (e.g. go.yourbrand.com) attached to your workspace.
  • TXT Verification: Custom domains must complete a DNS TXT challenge before traffic routing is activated.
  • SSL/TLS Certificates: QRoute automatically provisions and renews SSL certificates for verified custom domains at no additional cost.
  • Registrar Lapses: QRoute is not responsible for routing interruptions caused by third-party domain expirations, DNS registrar outages, or incorrect DNS CNAME records configured by the customer.

6. Intellectual Property & Customer Ownership

Your Content & Brand: You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all logos, text, artwork, destination URLs, and campaigns created within your account. You grant QRoute a limited, non-exclusive license solely to host, resolve, and display these assets as necessary to operate the service.

QRoute Platform Rights: QRoute and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform software, APIs, routing algorithms, design tokens, documentation, and trademarks.

7. Service Availability & Service Level Commitments

We design our dynamic redirect infrastructure for high-availability mission-critical print campaigns with a target 99.95% uptime SLA.

Our dynamic redirect engine is architecturally decoupled from our management dashboard. Scheduled maintenance on the web dashboard or analytics pipeline will not impact the live redirection of printed QR codes in the field.

8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall QRoute, its directors, employees, or partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or physical print manufacturing costs, resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total cumulative liability arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to QRoute in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination & Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription or delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon full account deletion, personal account details and API credentials will be permanently purged within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law & Legal Inquiries

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
